If the plugs in there were multi-electrode plugs, check to see if all of the electrodes were still attached. Some, in the past have lost electrodes and contributed to valve failure when the little piece got jammed against the valve.
Also check to make sure the wires to the coil pack are not cracked and shorting against the block.
