Greetings:

I recently posted a message regarding the removal and installation of both a starter and alternator. I have finished both jobs, but now the Check Engine light is on, AND the transmission "arrow" light----as well as the Econ/Sport/Winter switch) are flashing.

Is it possible that once a new component like an alternator, starter, etc., is installed, the computer then has to be "re-set" in order for the system to "accept" the new parts??? What gives??? Am I missing something?
