Well, thanks John, but I have convinced myself I would like the permanent bars, which I loved on my Passat wagon and my Jeep (no as much since the load bars were curved - stupid Americans). I have had an 854T for a few years now, and have resisted the load bar solution. Going that way now, I would have to admit I was wrong. Don ps you did do well on the ones you got.
