The C70 is a really elegant car, in my opinion. The engine and other mechanicals are very similar to the 1999 S70 and V70, so read the archives to learn about potential problems and what to expect. However, you have one extra complexity: the folding roof and the complicated electronics that control the windows up/down and the fold cycle. I have no information on whether this has been trouble or not. As for buying a used one, think of the real estate people who say, "location, location, location." In this case, it is, "CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION." This was an expensive car when new, and I suspect that repairs could also be pricey. If the one you are interested in looks at all, even a little bit, like it was neglected, I suggest you walk away. Good luck, and please let us know if you buy it.
