Grinding noise S70 1999

Three possibilities I can think of: brake pads are worn out, bad front wheel bearing, or back metal plate behind the rotor may be rubbing against the rotor. Most likely it is the bad wheel bearing, but the check for the other two so you don't spend money needlessly. The wheel bearing will cost around $150, instructions are on Bay 13, and you may need to buy a socket and a breaker bar (or impact wrench) to remove the axle bolt.
