Trunk handle won't work 850 1995

I just looked at my 1995 and there is no way to open the trunk from the inside without taking off the entire lid liner. So, once you put your mother in law in there...
Use your key in the trunk lid and turn it to the right - unlock. That should activate all of the door locks and gas lid at the same time. If the key had been turned to the left, all the way to horizontal, the key fob will not unlock the trunk.
If you over filled your trunk last summer and forced the deck lid down real hard to get it to catch, you may have broken a small plastic guide. If that is the case, you will have to get a new latch.
