mine is on the drivers side also. mine was welded 2+ years ago and just cracked again last month. I am trying to figure out how to reinforce it from both sides using bolts and flat stock 3/4" wide. there is an access hole in front of the strap mount, but the only way to reach in would be to remove the fender.
