one day i started my car and just as quick as the engine turned over, the engine died. thereafter, engine cranked properly, but it didn't turn over. i tried cranking for about 1 minute even.
i wanted to start eliminating obvious causes, like ignition or fuel issues. however, one of the bolts that secures the plate covering the spark plugs got stripped. these bolts are recessed, so i can't get at it with pliers or locks.
do you have other suggestions on how i can loosen the bolt?
further, i'm almost positive that i had my last tune-up just 15,000 miles ago + i can smell some gasoline around the fuel injectors, at least two of which were replaced last year.
any ideas about what might cause a no-start without previous warning signs?
thanks,
ap
