Oops! Looks like I forgot to add what you should do when the old coolant has drained. Just add water (through the expansion tank), let it run, drain, and then repeat the process a second, and perhaps a third, time. That's what I do. It appears that you already have an approach, so if it has worked for you in the past I don't see why you would change now.
