Unless you live in state that does emmissions testing, ignore the 315 code for a while. It is probably the valve at the charcoal cannister line that needs to be replaced.
No car should smell from sulphur, you are running way too rich. Clean the throttle body and the MAF. You may also have vacuum problems, so check the elbows for cracks - especially the one just behind the power steering pump and under the battery. Have you done a basic tune up lately?
