The entire world is a factory now. Nothing is made in the USA, very little is made in the 13 European states. All of the manufacturers are building/outsourcing their parts. They cannot afford to pay their local workers wages needed to survive in their own country, and continue to stay in business.
If you buy Mann filters from FCP, they are probably made in South America. The trick is quality control. Some companies insist on top quality, others go for the cheap cost. YOU have to figure out what you want.
If people get all of your car care stuff at Costco or Wally world because it is cheaper, they have just added to the problem.
