Any chance you could have a little water in your fuel? You say it only happens to your daughter, is she the only one who drives the car, or does she just use it every now and then? I know they're probably way different, but my wife's 2000 Audi A4 was having the same symptoms as you are describing and it turned out to be the temp sensor allowing the car to flood at startup. Does it smell as if it's flooding out when this happens?
