I have a 1998 V70 T5 and recently replace the "front" engine mount - actually the mount found on the passenger side just behind the right front wheel. I ordered the part from FCP but it came with a thick (approx 1/4 inch) steel plate which clearly fits under the mount with locating studs. I didn't use it after comparing the original mount with the new one which was exactly the same height. Was not using the plate the right thing to do? Or am I missing something?
