You took out the bottom of the air cleaner to access the PNP, and it is still out of the car? Is there anything else not plugged in? To verify the correct placement of the PNP, you need to check the backup lights when you slide the shifter to R.
Recheck all electrical connectors and make sure your "new" coil is working properly. If the plugs are wet, there is no spark or much too rich.

Please answer, we need to know if the advice is good or bad. The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are 2 turbos :)
