Hi Bob,
A very good reminder to all of is who are at times tempted to go the cheaper route tho` not "cheap" in the long run.
I just related your post to my wife who took her XC70 in for an oil change at our local equivalent to Jiffy Lube a few days ago. I insisted that if she was going there that she pick up an oil filter @ the dealer beforehand. The guy doing the oil change remarked that she was a little particular bringing in a Volvo filter. She responded with " My husband is kinda` anal about this stuff1".
