odometer roll back ? S70

The ECU resets the odometer? That must be something it is commanded to do, because if your odometer fails due to gear breakage, those miles are just lost. In other words the ECU can't read the odometer, and adjust it accordingly. The function you mention must assume an odometer set at 0 initially?

I know the odometer is incremented by pulses from the ECU - it would neat to sit and watch it ratchet the new odometer up to the stored mileage from 0, if that is how it works.
