Just got a nice 1995 T5 Wagon.
Car is cherry and i just got done replacing everything related to the pcv.
but the turbo boost is odd. It acts as if the wastegate is stuck on partially open so max boost (about half way on the boost side of the gauge) only comes at and above 4.5krpm.
Im pretty sure it should come in way sooner then that.
I am rulling out a bad wastegate on the account that i can move it by hand.
the turbo has NO/very little play on the shaft and burns no oil.
What gives?
So in essence my issue is...late boost.

the other odd thing..most probably related is that the flex intake hose coming off of the intercooler up top..crumples up like a tin can every time the car goes above 2krpm quickly.
So either the hose has gone soft..and yeah it feels soft or my intercooler is way plugged up and cant flow enough.
