Good thing you are back home and OK.
The barometric sensor is not hooked up to a hose, it is electrical? You will find it behind the right headlight. Just unplug it and clean off the connectors and plug it back in to see if that helps.
If you put on new hoses, check that there is no leakage at the radiator connections. This happens a lot because the plastic radiator parts get a slight dent from the clamp pressure and then the new hose doesn't cover properly.
If there is a little "crud" around the thermostat housing, time to buy a new thermostat (87C) and 2 new bolts. There should never be ANY crud. It may be leaking down the inside cover of the Tbelt and collecting at the low point, which is the water pump.
At 140,000 miles, isn't it time to get a new Tbelt and tensioner anyway???? The water pump can be checked for looseness at that time.
Also check the hose that goes from the overflow bottle to the thermostat area for green stuff.
