timing belt/tensioner question 850 1997

Hi,
have twice tb on two 850/94s at 120kkm and again at 240kkm, first the belt only then all belt, idler and tensioner pulleys for peace of mind. couldn't find anything doubtful in bearings however, but feel good having them renewed.
But isn't there a difference between the long lasting hydraulic tensioner and the later mechanical one being less thrustworthy?
