Sea Foam 850 1994

I read on volvospeed.com that if you put sea foam in your engine via one of the vacuum hoses and let it sit for 10 minutes, it really cleans out your valves and and other internal parts of the engine. Has anyone tried this yet? What would happen if I left it in overnight instead of just 10 minutes? Let me know if you can help me out.
