"I wonder what dealer service on a new car feels like :)"
Oh, it's just about as bad as Volvo's.:(
We have two Oddys and an Accord and the cars never go back to the Honda dealer except for warranty repairs. Fortunately, the Official Honda Service manuals are available in paper, and reasonably priced:

Most of the routine Honda service is pretty foolproof, unlike Volvo's. I also get my maintenance parts and accessories (filters, wiper blades, floormats etc,) online at:
http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc
or http://www.collegehillshonda.com/ gets good reviews for online parts, too.
"I will have to find a good Honda blog/board in a year or two."
Try:

You might check in there before you sign your check for the new car. eg. the runflats get poor reviews, so pause before spending the extra $10k for the Touring model.
Full disclosure: I own stock in Honda!
