I'm curious what you mean by "...infamous skip and dip stumble...." Do you mean the problem with the electronic throttle control that's covered for an extended period by a recall?
If so, why not take it to a Volvo dealer for the free fix?
If it's something else, can you explain what the "infamous skip and dip stumble" is? I haven't heard of it before, and I'm expecting to buy a car of this age soon.
