v70 "Low Voltage Battery' message

Before you spend a lot more money, get yourself a multimeter and check the voltage from the alternator. It should be about 14.5V with the daytime running lights on.
You might want to get a trickle charger. Even "new" batteries don't come fully charged and running with headlights always on will not fully charge the battery. Just leave the charger hooked on for 24 hours.
