intermitant A/C S80

I just did the shim trick on my S80. Access was very easy after removing the bottom splash pan. No need to fool around with the wheel well. I had about .035 gap before putting the shims in. I used an old Volvo brake shim at .025 thick. I cut pieces out about the same size as the bread clip and notched them. I used vice grips to hold the clutch down.

Haven't run it for more than 20 minutes since I did the fix so the jury is still out. However, after 100+ miles, they are still in place and no complaints form Mama.

Wasn't a bad job in the SC heat.
