Your mileage of 8.4L/100km is the equivalent of ~28 mpg (american gallon) or 33 mpg (british gallon). Therefore, this is a typical mileage we have been getting with full loads in the USA. In our case, our fully loaded 1995 850 turbo sedan gets the same mileage with yours at average speeds of 125 km/hr , i.e., ~80 miles/hour.

The thing to keep in mind is that the american gallon is 3.785 liters while the british gallon is 4.54 liters.
