Ifinally changed my evaporator 850

The lesson to be learned here is to use quality (factory Volvo) parts, especially if the task of replacing the part is quite involved. No big deal if you use second rate parts on an easy job but when you go to all of the hassle of ripping the entire dash out and the climate control box so you can install a part that you saved a few bucks on, it just does not make good sense. Oh well, the good news is you will be up to speed on 850 dash removal techniques for that rash of 850 evaporators that might just come your way.
