Yep, I have a similar problem on my 1994 850 wagon ! I think its a flaw in the system since we both have weird things with the alarm system. Sometimes mine will "Unlock" all the doors but wont "Lock" them (from the remote). But my light always blinks like they system is "active" and fuel door is responsive with the doors, but the tailgate isnt! All I can figure is the "system" is on a loop, and if a circuit is broken then the whole system goes wacky ! Seems like somewhere the circuit has been breached, why, how, I dont know, but checking wires at the "pinch points" would be a good start. Tell me how if you find it before me as im really involved in my 960 at the moment. Thanks, Dubs
