I use(d) regular unleaded in my '95 and '98 850 T5s, and in my '05 V70 2.5T.

My gas mileage is lower than I expect given my driving style and history with other cars. However, 10% Ethanol is common here in PA, and that is certainly partially to blame.

The engine management alters the timing to counter knocking (I think). Even when I hit my accelerator aggressively, the cars have power to spare and do not show a notable decrease in performance.

Your mileage may vary. Ha ha.
