Loss of power...FPR? 850 1996

Matt, the fpr was moved/redesigned for 1996. Check the vacuum fittings back at the fpr for leaks, not just at the front of the intake manifold. You could look at borrowing a guage to check the pressure at the rail, it is a Ford fitting. The pressure increases as rpms go up and should decrease as soon as you let up on the throttle.

I would check the compression on all 5 cyls first, before buying a "suspected" fpr. A junk yard fpr should also work - not a normally failing part.
