Rear main seal replacement procedure

Most shops just remove the driver side suspension, both axles, put the car on a lift and drop the subframe just enough to get the tranny unbolted from the engine. It is a 9 hour billable task, but most good shops will do it in 5-6 hours.
If your car is just weeping oil, you might want to investigate replacing the oil separator and/or the PCV piping to releve the crank pressure.
