Many people feel that the 240 is the best car ever made. Not the best Volvo, the BEST CAR period.

They are extremely well engineered and overbuilt, comfortable, and provide the ultimate in safety (as you must know). My teenagers have been 'required' to drive them; we currently own five ('83 Turbo, '88, 2 '89's, and a '93 240 Classic - last year made) plus an 850 GLT (had to move to FWD at some point).

240's are very straightforward to work on, and you can learn everything you need on this board. They commonly reach half a million miles, and I've had a couple exceed 200k with virtually zero maintenance (my kids'). I really don't need 6 cars anymore, but haven't been able to bring myself to let any of the 240's go...yet.

..and yes, you ARE crazy, but as pointed out elsewhere, most Brick Lovers are!

Oh, and by the way...GO BOSOX!
