If the car drives ok on the highway or whatever and you get off the road and slow down and the car dies, many times that means you have a leak in the air intake system. Check to make sure all the clamps on your air filter box are tight and that none of the plastic parts are cracked or have holes in them. make sure the plastic part that goes to the throttle body is on tight and not cracked.

When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?
