Sticky tape is NOT sufficient; You'll probably lose your spoiler on the Interstate while I'm following you! (the tape dries out)

The brackets are essential. Suggest you drill and extract the bolts with an E-Z out. Replacements available at dealer, boneyard, or parts supply.
