I just called up our Volvo dealer to check how much an oil change costs. They quoted $85 + tax!!

My wife has a 1998 S70 5spd with 35K miles. I am planning to do the oil changes myself. I have the following questions:

1. Where do I buy the oil filter from and which one do I buy?

2. How much do I torque the drain plug?

3. Is it advisable to replace the washer for the drain plug? What kind would I use?

4. Are there any special instructions(from your experience) while changing the oil?

5. Will doing the oil change outside the dealerships void the warranty?
