We did look at it. Were not at all impressed by the RX300's cargo capacity. Wife finally decided on a Honda Odyssey. Not my kind of car, but it fits her needs. It will carry an entire troop of teenage Girl Scouts AND their leaders, AND their gear. Ahhhh.... have you looked at the Acura MDX? Same platform as the Oddy. Canadian built, too.

As I mentioned, I couldn't find any similar pattern in NHTSA (our Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) complaints file, which is available online, and I've provided the link. Does Canada have a similar resource? If it's only Canadian V70s that are having the problem, and none of the US models, that might suggest differences in the wiring of the two versions as the cause.

If you were in the US I'd probably suggest trying to get a law firm interested in a class-action suit, but....you're in Canada, and it's my understanding you have a less plantiff friendly tort system than we do in the USA.
