Considering the spark plug problem, which is typically caused by overtightening the plug btw, I'd have your engine's compression checked, especially the cylinder where the electrode fell into compared to the others. It's possible that the broken plug electrode did engine damage.

Otherwise, have the ignition wires checked, dist cap/rotor too.

If nothing, check vacuum hoses, check for codes.
