Re: keep it or not? 850 1997

Hi all,

I'm so glad I found you:)

I have had some serious problems with my 850 TDI STW Aut., 1997. It has been in Taxi use before I bought it in 1999, and had already 356 k. Now it has 392 k.

Now one of my problems is, am I to keep it or let it go... how long you typically drive these... 1000 k? 450 k?...

Second problem is this ABS malfunction... one technician said that it might be related to brake-oil spilling to left front tire... don't know... ABS light used to go on and off... now it's on... and no ABS... and it's winter time here now in Finland...

Third one is this cold engine start... this car is not an easy one to get going... batteries wear out quite easily, is this typical...

One interesting feature is the windsill, the rain gots in... and it has already been replaced once... the owner said that this car has not crashed... but I am not sure anymore... how do you know if it is or is not...

ok, my idea and answer also to myself, is to keep the car with the faults... as I have no other idea what to do with it...

Sami
