In the really old cars, pre 2001, there were two adjustment knobs between the headlamp bulb holders - one for horizontal and one for vertical adjustment. Both plastic adjusters had fittings for a phillips screw driver to help you turn them.
For adjustment, you will need a wall with 25 feet of level space in front of it for your car. Park your car with the bumper touching the wall. Then draw a line on the wall, or piece of paper taped to the wall, that shows the bright horizontal line. Back up 25 ft. The new line should be about 1 inch below the one on the wall. Adjust accordingly.
