You need to take the dash out of the IP. It can be done, although it requires patience. If you pry out the vents, there are screws behind them, and also on the sides of the IP, for the defrost. Take those pieces out and remove those screws. There are some under the gauge hood, 3 I think. Once you do that, you can gently pull out and up the IP on the driver's side. The airbag prevents it from being taken out more, I didn't want to disturb that. I placed an object between the rest of the IP and the cover to hold it open. The gauge cluster is held in by clips, like on a tool box. Once you undo them, you can lift it out. There is a cable as well, that goes to the clock temp gauge. I would replace all the dash lights at this time. I found the bulbs at Pep Boys, but they can be hard to find. I would take them out and go there. You know that if you only replace one bulb, in a month or so another bulb will burn out! Better to replace them all, they are cheap and getting in there takes a while. Be careful not to scratch the plastic window on the gauges, and be careful of the button for the trip odo. It takes some doing, but you can ease the dash cover back into place, push it in and then slowly tighten the screws everywhere. There is a tab on the right side of the dash cover, that snugs the cover to the right center vent. Be sure to get that tucked back in, your dash cover will look wrong there.
