Terri,

I had the exact same problem on my '93 850 GLT (it actually got to the point where it would stall 2-3 times in a row). After consulting the dealer (no idea what was wrong and claimed to have never-ever seen the problem before) I came to this website and got some good advice.

The solution was to replace the fuel injector relay (FIR) (confirmed by 5 other people). The FIR is underneath the fuse panel above the firewall on the driver's side of the engine compartment. I bought the part from my dealer (approx $70), installed it myself and have not had another stall since! It takes about 15 minutes and is very easy to do.

Have the parts counter person show you the diagram of the FIR position when you pick up the part. Also, the dealer will not be able to get the codes since the problem corrects itself.
