Had the same problem with my 94 850 turbo... the day I bought it used from the dealer... in the middle of Summer. After some fussing, which probably wasn't necessary, the Volvo dealer replaced the resistor pack and it has been wonderful, ever since.

By the way, mine run intermittantly, even during the initial test drive, and then just died a few hours after I picked the car up.

I LOVE the car, otherwise!
