The 2000 has VVT, variable valve timing, which requires you to rotate the engine to get the marks all lined up, AND, rotate an additional 90 degrees clockwise and then back to TDC to ease the tension on the cams. Otherwise, same as the older cars.
The 2000 does have a mechanical tensioner which must be replaced with a belt change. I would also replace the rollers.
Water pumps typically last 180-250K miles, depending on the kind of antifreeze you use.
Hydraulic tensioners easily last 200K miles, but the rollers need to be inspected and/or replaced.
