Well, I thought it was the hub bearing but that was changed with no effect. I have a conditional humming noise coming from the right front corner somewhere and don't know what else to look at. It only happens when braking during a left hand turn and only when I'm going around 30-60mph. I know I need a balljoint there but I was told that a balljiont wouldnt cause that kind of noise by a very experienced volvo tech. Not that i think the guy couldn't ever make a mistake but I am inclined to believe him since he knows I wouldn't ever bring the car in for something as simple as a balljoint. Any thoughts on the matter? Also, occaisionally when I have the wheel at one lock or the other (pulling out of garage or parking spaces especially) I feels like one front tire or the other is hitting a tiny patch of ice and slipping for a second. Or perhaps getting stuck and then suddenly releasing? Is this a sign of CV's going bad? TIA
