The valve is located in the pump body, and you don't even want to consider that failing. A junk yard pump will work, so long as it hasn't been dried out for a long period of time.

More likely, the wiring and or connector need to be examined where it goes to the ABS pump. Unplug it, clean it with a tooth brush and electric spray cleaner, and reseat the plug.
