CD player V70-XC70 2001

Okay, problem started when I changed the battery, and this seems to be the only problem that I haven't been able to resolve. Seems there was a CD in the player when I changed the battery and now it won't play nor will it come out, any ideas.
Things I've found out since "I" changed the battery. Dealers have a battery that they plug into cigarette lighter to hold settings. Changing the battery "can" generate an "SRS" WARNING, no matter what the dealer will tell you. I called several dealerships in Canada and one in Buffalo area. I was quoted anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours after explaining clearly that I'd changed the battery and this was when the error started. The dealer in Buffalo told me it would be at least a couple of hours because changing the battery can't generate that message.
I ended up making an appointment at the 30 minute quote dealer which happens to be about 40 minutes away. My wife took the car in for the appointment, gets there and is told that they can't look at the car because the computer is down. No apologies, no phone call and no offer to rebook. I called the dealer for 2 days, no "service mgr" or "GM" or "owner" is available to speak with and none of my messages are returned. On the 3rd day I get the assistant Service Manager who apologizes. This time when my wife takes it in, code is cleared and she's on her way in 10 minutes with no charge. This was my first experience dealing with dealers and it's a wonder there's any of them still in business. We have had this car for almost 5 months and 11,000kms and except for the electronics when they're not working right love this car. The T5 is so smooth and effortless.
Thanks for replies
