Here are a few things to look out for (AKA: problems I've experienced with my 1998 S70 that appear to be common to the 1998 S/V 70's):

Door panel "fabric" bubbling

Micro shift switch (automatic gear shifter will not shift out of park when you depress the brake pedal)

ABS Control Unit

Cruise control not working (may be a vacuum line)

If you have the service records make sure the timing belt was replaced at 70,000 miles, oil changed regularly, etc.

Other than the items listed above it's been a great car!
