I want to use aftermarket pads so that I don't have to spend every Saturday morning cleaning brake dust from the wheels. I have had excellent performance on my BMWs and Volvos using Repco/PBR Deluxe pads. Little or no brake dust. To me, it's well worth spending the money to replace the OEM pads even though they have mile left on them.
