For once I can contribute a definitive answer to the Brickboard. When I first got my 1999 S80 I was very impressed by the beautiful, evenly distributed, perfectly symmetrical fan-like sprays the windshield washers produced. Unfortunately, after a while the beautiful fans began to deteriorate into streams. Now I have three ugly streams which require a whole lot more solution to get total coverage. I have tried many things to return the outlets to new condition (solvents, high-pressure sprays, very thin wire)...nothing has worked. So the answer to those who have nice fan sprays...enjoy them while you can.
