Pretty simple. Count the holes in the car. 4 doors (sedan)? 854. 5 doors (wagon)? 855. Mostly a holdover from model designation used by Volvo in the last century, and now mostly outmoded. In either case the car will show 850 on the back, but if we can't see it, we can still tell what it is.
