What is the " Control Module Box Filter " ? S70 1998

Hi,

Can anyone tell what is the " control module box filter " ?

On my service log book, it states that the dealer will change this item when they change the air filter.

The reason I asked is because I just replaced the air filter myself last weekend with a drop-in K&N air filter.

Now that I have changed my air filter, do I have to change the control module box filter too ?
